Begin With Something You Love- A lot of people make the mistake of trying to find out what the most profitable markets are and starting their marketing campaigns in those niches even if they don’t know anything about them. To be truly successful with article marketing you are going to have to write a lot of articles and when you first start out it will be very tough to write article after article on subjects you know nothing about. And in truth any market can be profitable.

Don’t wait for the perfect keyword- While it is true that we want to find low competition keywords that get good search volume, to many people concentrate on the number of searches instead of writing about a keyword they are guaranteed to get on the first page of google with. I would rather be on the first page of google for a word that gets 100 searches a month than on page three for a term that gets 30,000 searches a month.

Take it in Small Steps- The most important thing in article marketing is to get that first article online and then the second article and so on. When I first started it would take me as week to write one terrible article. Now I average about five articles an hour. If you are having a hard time getting started, write the title on day one, the intro on day two, the second paragraph on day three and keep going until you have one complete article. Don’t worry about how bad it is, just get it online.
